Job Description
Akkodis are partnering with a highly reputable client on the expansion of one of their programme team which covers multiple exciting initiatives. Our client have an ongoing portfolio of work designed to ensure their critical applications and infrastructure estate is fully up to date to minimise downtime and to enable other larger scale migration projects to go ahead.
You will work inn a team of Project Managers supporting two key projects that form part of this portfolio. One of these projects is focused on the upgrade of our clients Mainframe OS for cloud enablement. Alongside this, you will also oversee a number of server migrations for core applications in preparation for the organisation's cloud migration project.
Our client are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a proactive and positive approach to partner with internal and external stakeholders on the smooth delivery of these initiatives and future pieces of work.
The successful candidate will have the following experience:
– Experienced Project Manager with a proven background delivering large Infrastructure projects- Good cloud exposure, specifically Azure projects- Experience working with 3rd parties/offshore teams- Any experience to Mainframe or Windows Server projects would be highly desirable- Any experience in a highly regulated environment would be highly desirable- Excellent communication skills
This is an initial 6 month contract with a high possibility of extension. You will be required to work on site 1-2 days per week (Tuesday being the anchor day) in Stratford Upon Avon and the role has been deemed inside IR35.
