Head of Design – Commercial Workplace D&B – Open to 4-Day Week
This is one of those rare, clear-sky opportunities. A fast-growing D&B practice, founded four years ago, already making serious moves in the commercial workplace sector – Manchester roots, London presence. An agile, ambitious team of 15. Four on the ground in London – and looking for a strategic design lead to shape the next phase of growth.
Design is outsourced to a world-class external studio. Your job? To steer it, begin to bring design in-house, and make sure every space delivers for top global clients – creatively, commercially, and with absolute clarity.
This is a company in motion. And they’re looking for someone who’s ready to move with them.
Responsibilities
- Leading creative direction across all commercial workplace projects
- Acting as the design voice in client relationships and new business pitches
- Collaborating with external design partners to deliver on time, on brief, on budget.
- Driving quality and consistency across project work, from concept to completion
- Playing a key role in building out the London team and creative culture
Requirements
- 8+ years’ experience in commercial workplace D&B
- A confident design leader who can manage, present and inspire
- Client facing and work winning ability
- Strong commercial instincts – you know what good looks like and what works
- Comfortable working with external design partners
- Someone who thrives in fast-growth, high-trust environments
