We’re working with a specialist environmental consultancy known for its innovative approach to water and renewables projects across the UK. They’re now looking for an experienced EIA Consultant to join their growing team in Cardiff.
This is a chance to wear multiple hats, combining technical water-focused work with EIA project coordination , client interaction and mentoring junior staff . What You’ll Be Doing
- Coordinating and contributing to Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) for a range of renewable and infrastructure projects
- Writing and reviewing technical appendices relating to hydrology, hydrogeology, flood risk, water quality and private water supplies
- Liaising with clients, statutory bodies and stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant project delivery
- Conducting or supporting field surveys and interpreting technical data
- Supporting or leading project management , ensuring scopes, budgets and timelines are met
- Delegating tasks and providing guidance to 3–5 graduate consultants, helping to develop their skills and confidence
About You
- 3–10 years’ experience in EIA consultancy, ideally with a focus on water-related disciplines
- Comfortable managing your own projects and contributing to multi-disciplinary teams
- Able to write clear, concise technical reports and assess environmental risks
- Experience engaging with clients and regulatory authorities
- Confident mentoring or delegating to more junior colleagues
- (Bonus) Knowledge of flood modelling tools or previous involvement in solar/wind farm assessments
