About the Department
The Academic Programme Administration team is situated within Goldsmiths Academic Registry.
The Academic Registry integrates core operational services with active student engagement, information and advice, to enhance the student experience and support students to confidently engage with their University programme. Across the academic lifecycle of students, from pre-arrival to award, the Academic Registry ensures the integrity, consistency and effective administration of academic operations, and compliance with internal and external regulations. It provides a central service for student support and enquiries about their programme and elicits insights for enhancement activity across the University. It works in close partnership with academic staff to support the success of all students on their programmes of study.
The Academic Programme Administration team supports the successful delivery of Goldsmiths programmes. Working in close collaboration with academic staff, the team supports key student-facing processes and the requirements of specific programmes, such as PSRB-accredited placements. The team also acts as the primary interface for academic staff with Registry services.
About the Role
Programme Coordinators work in a flexible, dynamic team to ensure the smooth and effective operation of academic programmes, providing high-level administrative support to academic Faculties. Maintaining programme-specific knowledge relevant to student and academic processes, Programme Coordinators will coordinate and undertake programme administration across the academic cycle, working in close collaboration with academic role holders and professional services teams to ensure excellent student experience in the running of their programme. Providing professional support to academic faculties ensuring accurate and timely resolutions.
About the Candidate
You will have a degree or equivalent experience in programme administration, preferably in a Higher Education setting. The role holder will be experienced in delivering services which support the delivery of taught provision with the ability to communicate with stakeholders across multiple disciplines and teams and draft accurate correspondence. Experienced at working in a customer-facing environment with knowledge of how to address complaints and service setbacks in a professional and efficient manner. You will have knowledge and understanding of core academic and administrative functions in Higher Education with a high level of IT proficiency. Experience in using systems such as student records, virtual learning environment or equivalent in an education setting is beneficial.
