Majestic Wine Chislehurst is looking for a Trainee Manager.

We are seeking a Trainee Manager to join us as we expand our busy store. We believe our success stems from our talented Majestic people, and this role offers a great starting point within our internal talent development.

The Role

As a Majestic Trainee Manager, you will undertake a 12-month development programme, gaining comprehensive experience in operational, service, and leadership standards to prepare you for a future Store Manager role. You will follow our career pathway training with support from your Store Manager, setting you up for success.

Key Responsibilities

Our customers are central to everything we do. You will act as an ambassador for your store, supporting your team to deliver outstanding shopping experiences.

  • Drive store performance by maximizing sales and optimizing KPI performance through focused plans.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to foster loyalty and encourage repeat business.
  • Offer a VIP concierge experience, actively engaging with customers about products and tastings.
  • Share your passion for our products, manage tasting events, and create an enticing tasting counter.
  • Own your wine knowledge, support your WSET qualifications, and confidently sell our range.
  • Maintain the store\’s appearance and ensure operational tasks are executed efficiently, including stock deliveries and customer outreach.
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies, safety, and legal requirements.
  • Take ownership of your personal development, utilizing available resources.
  • Model Majestic’s Ways of Working and support junior team members, providing feedback to your Store Manager.

Knowledge & Skills Required

  • Experience working in a fast-paced retail or hospitality environment, with a focus on team collaboration.
  • Ability to deliver exceptional customer service consistently.
  • Strong prioritization and problem-solving skills under pressure.
  • Self-motivated, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
  • Proactive attitude with a passion for resolving issues.
  • Adaptability and resilience to changing demands.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Wine knowledge is beneficial; passion for learning and passing WSET levels 2 & 3 is essential.
  • Hold a full UK/EU/EEA driving license for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.
