Position Summary
The Shift Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day manufacturing processes by leading staff on the production floor and coordinating daily cell activities. Their duties include assigning employees’ production work orders and monitoring output at different points in the production process.

The Shift Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day manufacturing processes by leading staff on the production floor and coordinating daily cell activities. Their duties include assigning employees’ production work orders and monitoring output at different points in the production process.
Essential Functions

• Supervision and training of all assigned personnel.
• Organize and assign work tasks to department personnel in order to meet company goals and objectives.
• Ensure product(s) meet designed quality specifications and achieve SRS quality goals.
• Meet production schedule to maximize efficiency and timeliness.
• Interface with Engineering as required insuring accuracy of product design and structure.
• Maintain clean, safe working environment.
• Provide performance reviews for all assigned personnel.
• Maintain accurate work order status of all assigned production materials.
• Provides support to Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Regulatory Affairs and Quality through participation in process control activities, and special testing, as required.
• Ensure that training, design, implementation, test and maintenance methods/processes are developed as well as executed in a manner which supports all Quality Standards.

Education, Training, And Experience

• Strong electrical/mechanical background.
• 5 years of Manufacturing related experience.
• Supervisory and/or Lead Person experience.
• Minimum of high school diploma, Associates Degree or trade school equivalent is a plus.
• Strong organizational and motivational skills.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite, as well as materials/engineering database.
• Strong teamwork, communication and decision-making skills.
• Ability to effectively manage changing and multiple priorities.
• Demonstrated interest and ability in developing the manufacturing team.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with controlled documentation and FDA compliance is a plus.
• Will work in high magnetic fields, with high voltages, and with radiation and radioactive materials. The employee may be involved in light rigging operations.

Physical And Environmental Considerations

• Must be able to sit /stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to walk through the factory environment safely.
• Typical office and lab environments.
• Must be able to use standard office equipment including laptop, copier, phone, etc.
• Will work in high magnetic fields, with high voltages, and with radiation and radioactive materials. The employee may be involved in light rigging operations.
