This role as Principal Planning Enforcement Officer involves leading a team to address planning enforcement casework, making decisions under delegated authority regarding diverse planning enforcement issues, including residential and commercial development, conservation areas, and more. You will play an instrumental role in implementing the Council's Local Development Framework, Core Strategy, and planning policies, maintaining and enhancing the Borough's environment. The position requires you to coordinate with multi-agency partners, provide expertise in land use planning, and act as the Council's representative in public inquiries and legal proceedings. You are responsible for responding to planning enforcement issues from MPs and Councillors, ensuring health and safety compliance, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of planning legislation and trends.
