Asset Disposal Property Partner

We’re partnering with a large public sector organisation undergoing a strategic transformation of its property portfolio. As part of this journey, they’re looking to appoint an experiencedAsset Disposal Property Partner to lead on property rationalisation, compliance, and service-aligned asset management.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping how property assets support public service delivery, driving efficiency and long-term value across the organisation.
Your Role as an Asset Disposal Property Partner:
- Act as the strategic link between council services and the Property Division.
- Lead on property reviews, asset rationalisation, and compliance with property legislation.
- Develop service asset management plans aligned with strategic and operational goals.
- Collaborate with public sector bodies, partners, and voluntary organisations to coordinate asset planning.
- Provide expert advice on property use, occupation, and project delivery.
- Negotiate and implement property transactions to optimise capital receipts and reduce costs.
- Represent the property service and council at internal/external meetings and legal proceedings.
What You’ll Need:
- Proven experience in property asset management, ideally within the public sector.
- Strong understanding of property legislation, compliance, and strategic planning.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to translate service needs into effective property solutions.
- Confident communicator with negotiation and influencing capabilities.
Beneficial to Have:
- Experience working across multi-agency or cross-sector property initiatives.
- Familiarity with public sector governance and service delivery models.
