An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Payroll Coordinator on a part time, temporary basis. This role will see you support multiple payrolls in a variety of countries, and you will be involved in both the preparation and processing of these payrolls. You should have experience in a similar role, and a good understanding of the payroll process to be considered.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Administrating multiple UK and overseas payrolls, ensuring accurate and timely processing in line with statutory requirements and internal policies.
- Entering, updating and verifying payroll data, including tax codes, statutory deductions, pensions, benefits, and other pay-related adjustments.
- Reviewing audit and exception reports, resolving discrepancies and ensuring compliance with regulations and company procedures.
- Preparing payroll reports for approval and produce payment files for submission.
- Completing financial postings to the accounts system and arrange payment requests where necessary.
- Issuing final documentation to leavers and maintain records for pension auto-enrolment compliance.
- Updating and maintaining P11D and PSA records throughout the year.
- Responding promptly to payroll-related queries from employees, HR Teams, external agencies and auditors.
- Contributing to payroll projects, system testing, and process improvement initiatives.
- Maintaining confidentiality and handle personal information in line with data protection legislation.
About You
- Several years’ experience in payroll or HR administration; a payroll qualification is desirable but not essential.
- Familiarity with payroll systems, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise under tight deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to liaise across different teams and with external contacts.
- Committed to ongoing professional development and receptive to feedback
