EFL is seeking a motivated and dedicated Insight & Impact Coordinator to join its Insight & Impact Team within EFL in the Community.
About The Role
Post Title: Insight & Impact Coordinator

Reporting to: Head of Insight & Impact
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 35 hours
The EFL focuses on two main areas: competitive football on the pitch and community development off it. With over 40 million people living near an EFL Club, the opportunity to engage with local communities is significant.
This role is vital in supporting millions through EFL Football Club charity initiatives, enhancing lives through the power of football.
Job Outline
The Coordinator will oversee monitoring, evaluation, and learning data for EFL in the Community programs, ensuring effective implementation of robust methodologies to demonstrate the impact of these programs within communities.
This includes applying the EFL in the Community MEL Policy, developing evaluation plans, creating training materials, engaging stakeholders, and analyzing data to showcase program impact.
Key Responsibilities
Monitoring & Evaluation
- Develop and update MEL policies and processes, aligning with stakeholders and current research methodologies.
- Train staff on MEL requirements using clear resources and templates.
- Lead monitoring and evaluation of programs, ensuring policy adherence and stakeholder engagement.
- Conduct data audits, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Analyze data using software such as SPSS and NVIVO, drawing meaningful conclusions.
- Support funding applications through literature reviews, insight data, and response writing.
Proactive & Passionate
- Create logic models, theories of change, and evaluation tools aligned with external standards.
- Coordinate with internal and external teams to communicate data needs.
- Maintain engagement with funders on data requirements and updates.
- Manage data submissions and produce impact reports, facilitating meetings and analyzing data.
- Oversee Salesforce system for EFL in the Community and foster external research partnerships.
Support & Guidance
- Work with teams to embed MEL in new programs.
- Provide guidance to staff and stakeholders on data collection and methodologies.
- Represent EFL in external engagements, explaining methodologies and findings confidently.
- Present complex data clearly in reports and presentations for diverse audiences.
- Contribute to a learning culture through insights and learning repositories.
Candidate Profile
Knowledge & Understanding
- Degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
- Expertise in quantitative & qualitative analysis, with skills in SPSS.
- Understanding of policy contexts, data management, and UK GDPR.
- Knowledge of insight tools and literature review techniques.
Technical Skills
- Understanding of research ethics and evaluation methodologies.
- Ability to develop evaluation questions and select appropriate methods.
- Experience with logic models, theories of change, and data analysis.
- Proven project coordination skills and excellent report writing.
