Deputy Service Manager – Portswood, Southampton – £15.82 per hour
Working 37.5 hrs a week plus 1 sleep‑in (30 hrs on shift and 7.5 hrs based in the office). This will include working 1 in 4 weekends.

About the role
Deputy Service Managers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support are at the heart of our management teams. We’re currently searching for a fantastic Deputy Service Manager to join us in leading our residential service in Portswood, Southampton. This service is a welcoming and friendly environment with a dynamic team that supports a fantastic group of people!
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement person‑centred support plans
- Conduct care needs assessments
- Recruit and induct new colleagues
- Complete supervisions and appraisals
- Perform medication competencies and medication audits
- Attend multidisciplinary meetings and complete reports
- Assist the Registered Manager in the day‑to‑day management of our service
- Oversee a team of support workers and seniors for 30 hrs on shift and 7.5 hrs in office per week
- Participate in the on‑call rota (subject to change)
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care management role
- Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or currently working towards it)
- Experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviours of distress, mental health conditions, autism, forensic histories and trauma survivors
