Network Automation Specialist – OSS
OSS, RAN, Telecoms
A leading Telecoms client is looking for a highly experienced Network Automation Specialist to join them on a contract basis. This role will focus on the end-to-end delivery of new IT/OSS system requirements and upgrades, collaborating closely with Network Strategy and Engineering (NSE) teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the backlog of tools enhancement, simplifications, and interface effectiveness for Network Development in the UK. Ensure initiatives align with strategic priorities.
- Maintain data accuracy, including milestones, tasks, process owners, and network configurations. Work with stakeholders to resolve issues and manage escalations.
- Assist stakeholders and teams in eliminating blockers in the delivery lifecycle, collaborating with suppliers and partners to drive successful outcomes.
- Lead a team of 10 direct reports, ensuring timely progress of assigned actions and delivering updates to senior leadership on Tools & Interfaces and digital strategy.
- Represent the department in steering committees, reviews, and contractual boards to address new requirements, issues, and long-term operating model plans.
What We’re Looking For:
- Extensive experience in a telecoms environment, particularly in Network Deployment, RAN, or Network Operations (2G, 3G, 4G, 5G) and IT/Digital Transformation.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues in a clear and impactful way.
- Proven experience in hosting workshops and meetings with senior and executive-level stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience in project management within Telecom, Technology, or IT environments, including familiarity with agile methodologies.
- Experience working in secure environments with a solid understanding of security compliance.
