Assistant Accountant Job Opportunity

A leading, specialist service provider is seeking a new Assistant Accountant on a permanent basis. The company is experiencing rapid growth through organic means and acquisitions. This role is varied and hands-on, reporting to an engaging and supportive Finance Manager. It is well suited to an experienced Accounts Assistant seeking more exposure to month-end routines and management accounting processes.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the preparation of management accounts with commentary
  • Assisting with month-end processes and meeting tight deadlines
  • Posting journals, accruals, and prepayments
  • Collaborating with non-finance staff to provide financial support and advice
  • Processing supplier invoices and responding to supplier queries

Qualifications & Experience:

The ideal candidate will have solid transactional accounting experience (AP/AR), some month-end exposure, and a commitment to developing their skills further. Strong communication skills are essential for liaising across departments, along with proficient IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
