Job Description

Database Administrator with decommissioning\\n\\n * Server Decommissioning Specialist\\n\\n * Identify and evaluate Servers for decommissioning based on operational and business requirements.\\n\\n * Perform comprehensive backup and migration of critical data before shutdown.\\n\\n * Disable associated services, applications, and scheduled tasks to ensure a clean decommissioning process.\\n\\n * Revoke user access and update security policies to maintain compliance and data integrity.\\n\\n * Unmount storage volumes, securely wipe disks, and shut down operating systems following best practices.\\n\\n * Ensure adherence to compliance standards and update asset management systems accordingly.\\n\\nKey Skills & Competencies:\\n\\n * Database Administration: Proficient in managing databases with a focus on decommissioning-related requirements.\\n\\n * Scripting & Automation: Skilled in Shell Scripting (Bash, Python) to automate decommissioning tasks.\\n\\n * Storage & Data Security: Strong understanding of storage management and secure data wiping techniques.\\n\\n * Networking & Access Control: Knowledge of network configurations, Firewall rules, and user access protocols.\\n\\n * Backup & Recovery: Experience in data backup, recovery, and migration strategies.\\n\\n * ITIL & Compliance: Familiarity with incident management, change control processes, and compliance documentation
