Welcome to the Audi F1 Project.
Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026.
The new team has two locations. Audi\’s Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg (Germany) is considered one of the most modern of its kind in Europe. The Sauber Group\’s Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland) is known for its innovative technologies and passion for racing. The Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for the development of the chassis and race operations. The planned takeover by AUDI AG turns two teams into a factory team – and you can be part of it.

The position for the Audi F1 Project is at Sauber in Hinwil (Switzerland).
Your mission
- Work as surface expert within our Aerodynamics department for the Formula 1 project
- Work closely with the aerodynamicists and CFD engineers
- Generate complex surface models via the CATIA 3DExperience CAD system as main activity
- Continuously maintain and improve the complex and already very sophisticated methodology of the surface models
- Improve the aerodynamic performance of a race car in collaboration with Aerodynamicists, other Aero Designers and across departments within a very short lead time
- Develop innovative and comprehensive aerodynamic concept studies within the CAD system
- Prepare CAD models for CFD calculations and further develop them in collaboration with Aerodynamicists
Your profile
- A basic training as designer (technical college) or mechanical engineer (university of applied sciences) or a technical designer education with corresponding professional experience
- Work experience in motorsport Formula 1 in similar position would be considered an advantage
- A minimum of 2 years professional experience in surface design
- Experience in designing complex surface models in CATIA V5/V6/3Dx
- Broad and detailed knowledge of the GSD workbench
- Good visualization skills and imagination
- Good teamwork skills, organizational skills, and keen sense of responsibility
- Interested in working in a high-tech environment and fascinated by working in motorsport
- Pragmatic and at the same time have a distinctly scientific approach
- Someone with a lot of self-motivation, dedicated, creative, result oriented and able to work independently with great attention to detail
- Stress-tolerant, persistent, open-minded, innovative and a team player who can focus very well
- Full professional proficiency in German or English and a willingness to learn a basic level in the corresponding other language are prerequisites
