We are thrilled to be recruiting an Epidemiologist for our respected client near Guildford, renowned for their world-class research into viral disease outbreaks in livestock. With a strong focus on understanding the immune systems of livestock, their ground-breaking work lays the foundation for managing current diseases and tackling emerging threats. This fixed-term contract runs until July 2026 and offers a salary of £38,500 – £41,000 per annum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop models for the transmission, surveillance, and control of FMDV and ASFV, supporting decision-making for policy makers
  • Collaborate with field and laboratory scientists to integrate their findings into model frameworks
  • Establish and maintain collaborative links with UK-based teams developing FMDV and ASFV models
  • Work with external scientists to integrate the clients research into their models
  • Support the Institute’s response to disease outbreaks as needed
  • Participate actively in institute activities, including research meetings, seminars, and journal clubs
  • Collaborate with colleagues to foster a positive and productive research environment
