We are seeking a Senior Cheminformatician to join a scaling techbio company that’s using AI to accelerate drug discovery and redefine lab experiments. With significant seed funding, they’re building a top-tier team to develop predictive models for drug development. As a Senior Cheminformatics Scientist, you\’ll play a key role in shaping the company’s technical strategy, working with a talented team, and contributing to groundbreaking work in the biotech space. This role is full time with hybrid working in London.

The role
As a Senior Cheminformatics Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in driving AI and cheminformatics research to optimise drug discovery. You will develop and refine predictive models for ADMET predictions, work with large and diverse datasets, and apply advanced machine learning techniques, including training large models like Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) and Large Language Models (LLMs). This is an exciting opportunity to shape the company’s technical strategy while working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions.
Essential skills
- PhD or postdoc in computational chemistry, cheminformatics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in cheminformatics or computational chemistry, preferably in a drug discovery setting.
- Strong programming skills in Python (other languages like C, Java are a plus).
- Experience training large machine learning models, including GNNs and LLMs.
- Practical experience in ADMET modelling, molecular dynamics, or structure-based drug design (SBDD).
- Familiarity with managing large datasets and using them to build predictive models for drug discovery.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in interdisciplinary teams.
