Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tax Manager to join a dynamic finance team in the heart of London's Square Mile. This role will be pivotal in managing the fund's direct and indirect tax obligations, ensuring compliance with all relevant UK and international regulations. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of hedge fund tax structures and a proven track record of delivering accurate and timely tax reporting. This is a 4-day in-office role, requiring a collaborative and proactive approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct Tax Compliance:
- Manage the preparation and submission of UK corporation tax returns and computations.
- Oversee the tax implications of fund structures and investment activities.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the fund.
- Handle tax inquiries and audits from HMRC.
- Provide tax planning advice to the finance and investment teams.
- Indirect Tax Compliance:
- Manage VAT compliance, including preparation and submission of VAT returns.
- Ensure compliance with other relevant indirect taxes.
- Advise on the VAT implications of transactions and business activities.
- Prepare and review tax provisions and disclosures for financial statements.
- Conduct tax research and analysis to support tax planning and compliance.
- Maintain accurate tax records and documentation.
- Liaise with external tax advisors and auditors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Work closely with the fund accountants regarding tax related matters.
