We offer a fun and inclusive working environment at £11.75 per hour after a 3 month probation period. You also get £50 once you have completed basic Daish\’s training and if you refer a friend, you\’ll split £100!
Hours include weekends and bank holidays. A typical night porter shift will start at 11pm and finish at 7am.

The role of the Night Porter is generally about the security of the building while most of our guests are asleep. A friendly, welcoming and efficient service from our reception is our aim and you will continue the good work carried out by the daytime receptionists.
Qualities and skills you can bring to the night shift:
- Undertake front of house duties, including meeting, greeting and attending to the needs of guests to ensure a superb customer service experience
- Ensure the security of the building is maintained through the quite hours, as directed by the hotel management. Usually done by regular walk rounds and recording the action in a log.
- To deal with guest requests to assist in a comfortable stay
- To be aware of your hours worked (17 week average rule)
- Be fully conversant with the procedures in case of an emergency. This will cover the procedure for guests being taken ill, fire safety and procedure, and also for yourself working alone.
- Be aware of company Health & Safety policy in your workplace and assist others to help to maintain a safe working environment, including the “buddy” contact process
- Assist guests with luggage if necessary
