Role Information
Learning Curve Group is a national training and education specialist working with further education providers, employers, and learners to help them achieve success. We are dedicated to our learners, impacting over 100,000 annually. Our \’Purple People\’ are passionate staff committed to our vision to ‘transform lives through learning’.
At our Hair & Beauty Academies, we offer practical, real-world salon training across Levels 1 to 4, with 13 academies nationwide. As a Nail Technology Tutor, you will deliver and assess courses for apprentices, adult learners, and study programme participants, fostering learner achievement and outcomes.
This role is initially fixed-term for 6 months with potential for permanency. Flexibility in working days and hours is required, with contracts between Monday and Sunday, 07:00 to 22:00, varying based on course schedules and academy timetables.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive teaching sessions.
- Follow the scheme of work and EIF standards.
- Deliver theory and practical sessions aligned with industry standards.
- Assess learners and provide feedback.
- Manage learner records using digital systems.
- Embed Maths, English, digital literacy, and personal development.
- Participate in quality assurance activities.
- Create a positive learning environment and promote professional standards.
- Undertake professional development.
- Support learners’ employability and progression.
- Collaborate with team members for curriculum development.
- Contribute to commercial targets of the salon.
Candidate Requirements
- Industry experience as a nail technician.
- Experience delivering and assessing apprenticeships or adult education.
- Strong digital literacy skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Level 3 NVQ/Diploma in Nail Services or equivalent.
- Recognised teaching qualification (Level 3 Award or working towards Level 5 Diploma).
- Assessors Award or working towards it.
- GCSE C or equivalent in Maths & English.
