Role Overview
The Senior Electricity Designer is responsible for designing and reviewing electricity infrastructure projects across a portfolio of commercial and residential developments. This includes ensuring technical and commercial compliance, timely delivery, and providing expertise and mentorship within the business to maintain compliance with industry standards and accreditations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and review electrical designs to meet industry and client standards.
- Collaborate with other utility services during the design process.
- Approve designs and produce variations where required.
- Support tendering and project handovers to ensure smooth execution.
- Develop training resources and mentor team members.
- Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Maintain and expand industry accreditations.
- Prepare project quotations and provide technical support during site and client meetings.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Skills and Experience
- Proven expertise in electrical network design up to 11 kV.
- Strong knowledge of DNO and IDNO standards.
- Competency in approving designs under NERS requirements.
- Familiarity with Windebut and/or VisNet Connect software.
- Experience with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
- Excellent time management, communication, and analytical skills.
