About The Role
The role is within the UK Air pricing team and we are looking for smart, motivated team players to augment our UK National Air Pricing Unit. The key function of the team is to provide bespoke Air cargo quotes for our UK customers in a quick and timely fashion with a focus on both competitive as well as accurate solution based quote offerings.
Responsibilities
- Providing high levels of customer service with a can do attitude
- Processing quotations delivering both customer expectations as well as company growth & profit expectations
- Provide quotations in a good timeframe with 100% accuracy
- Maintenance of Reports & some statistical analysis needed to monitor market trends a KPI reporting of wins and losses
- Assisting the internal UPS departments with booking placements and new bookings ensuring files are accurately billed as quoted
- Utilise the necessary UPS software packages to facilitate the quote process and work with carriers and overseas colleagues to ensure we have the correct commercial scrutiny applied to commercial RFQ,s & quotations
Candidate Requirements
- Good literacy and numerical skills with a customer service background a definite advantage. A knowledge of freight forwarding would be advantageous but not truly essential
- Knowledge of Excel and other basic Microsoft applications i.e. Outlook etc
- Able to problem solve and be adaptive to a fast paced working environment
- Ability to work within a small but dedicated specialized team with a direct involvement with commercial pricing for air freight services
- Somebody who finds it easy to communicate with others and enjoy a fast paced role in a dynamic and diverse organisation. Should the right candidate seek opportunities for further career progression in a globally recognised brand then look no further.
