- Must have or be willing to operate GPS
- Comfortable operating a 14T Machine
- Able to dig strip foundations
- An excellent eye for finished works. For example, top soil, levelling muck, type 1, crush and road formation
- Capable of lifting and working with trench boxes, manhole boxes, drag boxes, and trench sheets
- Able to read and understand levels and drawings
- Acknowledge the need for dig permits before breaking ground
- Experienced working around live services, and in service avoidance techniques
- Able to competently carry out daily pre-start plant safety inspections and maintenance checks, and communicate service requirements in good time to the site management team
- Able to carry out essential greasing, basic maintenance and always keep machines clean and tidy
- Must be driven to show respect for plant and maintain to a high standard
- Proactive and able to manage time effectively
- Any experience with or knowledge of GPS machine control would be advantageous
- Additional CPCS/NPORS* tickets and experienced in operating any of the following; Telehandlers, Dumpers, Rollers
- Reliable & punctual
- Able to work well with other trades and operatives on site and support the programme delivery on time
