Turnaround Coordinator

Contract Type: Permanent
Shift Pattern: 30 hours per week – 6 on 3 off, start times from 04:00am
Location: Luton – LU2 9NU
Security Note: The role is based within an airport. You will be required to undergo a security/background check if you are successful.
Pay Rate: £17.73 per hour (Grade: CA)
What does the role entail?
- Coordinating the aircraft turnaround process from arrival to departure.
- Ensuring all ground handling activities (passenger boarding, baggage loading, aircraft refueling) are carried out correctly and efficiently.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for ground handling agents, airport authorities and other stakeholders.
- Facilitating effective communication between teams to ensure a seamless and timely turnaround.
- Adhering to aircraft safety protocols, including weight and balance checks.
- Resolving any issues or delays promptly.
- Completing all paperwork related to the aircraft turnaround.
What do we need from you?
- Full UK manual driving licence.
- Team leading/management experience.
- Previous aviation experience is desirable.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritise tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
- Ability to react accurately to any given situation.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
