The Role:
We\’re looking for a Grip Technician / Driver to join our Operations team in Manchester!
You\’ll play a key role in ensuring our high standards of service are met from start to finish. You\’ll be responsible for the timely and safe delivery and collection of gear for clients and other branches. You\’ll actively inspect and test equipment, promoting a safe working culture, and representing the company with excellent customer service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Examine, clean, and test equipment to ensure it is in perfect working order. You\’ll also dismantle, troubleshoot, and repair gear as needed, identifying and addressing potential faults to keep our inventory ready for rent
- Manage the delivery and collection of equipment, track shortages, and maintain our barcode system. You\’ll also operate forklifts to safely load and unload vehicles
- Ensure our vehicles are roadworthy and comply with all driving laws. You\’ll maintain a high standard of professional conduct and customer service while on the road
What you’ll bring to the role:
- A full, clean UK driving license
- Commitment to going the extra mile for both internal and external clients
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities
- Attention to Detail with exceptional follow-through, strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize your workload
- You\’ll be a self-starter with strong communication skills and the ability to build and maintain effective team relationships
- Willingness to continuously learn and gain new technical knowledge about all our rental equipment.
