About the Role
The Catering Assistant will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and sale of food and drinks from the Company’s Eatzone canteen facility.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
· Taking and processing orders for meals, snacks and drinks for Greenzone employees
· Ensuring the Eatzone is adequately stocked at all times
· Assisting in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene within the Eatzone environment
· Assisting in the preparation of food to be sold through Eatzone
· Cleaning all canteen equipment, including but not limited to shelves and fridges
· Serving customers of Eatzone
· Full adherence to food hygiene and handling standards
· Any other duties as delegated by the Catering Manager
· Taking payments via electronic payment system and keep appropriate records
· Working additional hours as required to cover team absence (i.e. holidays, sickness etc) to ensure adequate cover in the department

Knowledge and experience:
· Experience of working for a food outlet/ retailer
· Understanding of work health and safety and food hygiene
