The Department of Economics is seeking to employ suitably qualified Graduate Teaching Assistants to support in the teaching of a variety of undergraduate modules. In the Department of Economics graduate teaching assistants play an important role in promoting and contributing to the delivery of high-quality teaching by improving both student attendance and enhancing the effective engagement of students in teaching and learning.

Successful candidates will be required to teach a variety of classes and labs in economics, quantitative methods and finance at undergraduate level. Applicants should have as a minimum a good MSc qualification or ideally should be studying towards a PhD in either Economics or Finance. Competitive salary offered in line with experience and qualifications. Post holders will take an active role in ensuring academic quality and standards in the School, tutoring of students and the use of technology in teaching. Postholders are not expected to contribute to the marking of assessment but opportunities to take up marking responsibilities are available and can be declared in the application form.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
