Are you a compassionate and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist provision in Telford that caters to pupils who require additional emotional and behavioural support to succeed in education. This is a full-time opportunity to work closely with students across Key Stages 2–4, helping them to develop both academically and personally in a structured, nurturing environment. 🧠 About the Role: * Working 1:1 and in small groups with pupils with SEMH and behavioural challenges * Supporting students with emotional regulation, behaviour management, and social development * Assisting teachers with classroom delivery and differentiated learning plans * Helping create a safe, inclusive and consistent environment for learners * Collaborating with pastoral teams, therapists and other professionals on-site 💼 Requirements: * Previous experience working with SEMH, challenging behaviour, or vulnerable learners * Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with students * A calm, patient and trauma-informed approach to behaviour * Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply for one) * Excellent communication and teamwork skills 🎯 Desirable: * Team Teach, MAPA or similar de-escalation training * Background in youth work, mentoring, residential care or alternative provisions * Understanding of trauma-informed practice or ACEs 🌈 What We Offer: * A rewarding opportunity to support pupils in real need of stability and care * Ongoing SEN/SEMH training * Competitive daily pay, paid weekly * Opportunity for permanent contracts and career progression * Dedicated recruitment consultant support throughout your placement
