Red Sky have an amazing opportunity for a Safety and Compliance Manager at Liverpool Airport in their ATC team. This role requires flexibility, with occasional travel to other sites, including Teesside International Airport, to ensure our safety and compliance goals are met across the organisation.

What You’ll Do
In this pivotal role, you will:
- Oversee and ensure compliance with UK and international aviation safety regulations, including UK Reg (EU) 2017/373, 2015/340, and CAP 670.
- Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of our Management Systems including Safety & Risk (SMS), Quality & Compliance, Change and Security ensuring best practices across the organisation.
- Conduct and manage internal and external audits, address discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to uphold the highest compliance standards.
- Inspire and lead safety and compliance teams, fostering a JUST culture that prioritises safety and continuous improvement.
- Deliver impactful safety training programmes, equipping teams with the knowledge and tools to maintain operational excellence.
- Oversee ANSP Administration to ensure compliance, safety and engagement activities are completed on time to high standard.
Who We’re Looking For
- We’re looking for a proactive and experienced leader with: Comprehensive knowledge of UK and international aviation safety regulations (UK Reg (EU) 2017/373, 2015/340, CAP 670).
- Proven track record in working with Safety Management Systems (SMS), including their development and implementation.
- Strong audit and compliance experience, including managing discrepancies and corrective actions.
- Leadership experience, with the ability to foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Skilled trainer with the ability to create and deliver impactful safety training programmes.
- Analytical mindset to assess safety performance and implement meaningful improvements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with regulatory bodies, senior management, and teams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail to address safety and compliance challenges proactively.
- Desirable Qualities: Degree-level qualification in a related field such as Aviation Studies, Aerospace, or Safety Management.
- Professional training in SMS from Cranfield University, CAAi, or similar.
- Qualifications such as NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or ISO 9001 internal auditor training.
- Experience as an ATCO or aircrew within the civil aviation sector.
- Experience in project management, ensuring safety initiatives are delivered on time.
- Familiarity with advanced IT tools, including Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
- Adaptability to navigate changing regulatory landscapes and implement necessary updates.

What’s on Offer?
- Salary – up to £50,000 DOE
- Working Pattern – 37.5 hours per week. Monday – Friday (9:00am – 5:15pm)
