As a support worker with us you\’ll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people! Our 182 Ashby Road residential service in Burton on Trent is a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You’ll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. At 182 Ashby Road we support five younger adults with learning disabilities, autism and associated mental health needs. The home can also support people who present behaviours, which may be challenging at times. At present we have four male and one female person living at the service. The long term aim for people at 182 Ashby Road is a move on to more independent living if they so choose. 182 Ashby Road is next door to our transition service, 183 Ashby Road, and the residents will get together for garden parties, BBQ’s and discos when they can. This is an amazing role for someone who is looking to really make a difference to someone\’s life and to help them grow in confidence and independence so that they meet their goals, whether this be making dinner by themselves or going on holiday.
