General Catering Assistant
Location: Clifton College, Bristol
Contract Type: Part-time (Saturday only)
Working Hours: The shifts advertised are all separate shifts so 4 shifts in total available and will be fixed Saturday\’s over the academic year, there is no flexibility on times required.
- 6:30am – 3:00pm (8 hours)
- 7:00am – 3:00pm (7.5 hours)
- 10:30am – 3:00pm (4.5 hours)
- Flexible shift: 7 hours between 8:00am – 6:00pm

Role Overview
Sodexo is recruiting a General Catering Assistant to join our team at Clifton College. This role supports our Saturday catering operation by ensuring smooth delivery of food services and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. The position offers flexibility, hands-on experience, and a supportive working environment within a well-established school setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with preparation and presentation of food and service areas
- Serve food and drinks to students, staff, and guests
- Replenish stock and maintain continuous service
- Handle food safely, including awareness of dietary needs such as allergens
- Clean utensils, equipment, and food areas to hygiene standards
- Support function catering setup and breakdown as needed
- Follow company policies on health, safety, and hygiene
- Report incidents, complaints, or equipment faults appropriately
- Attend required training sessions and meetings
