Agile Coach & Delivery Lead

This is a hybrid role with 3 days required in our new HQ in Clapham Junction, where we will be moving to in March \’25.
As the Agile Coach/Delivery Lead, you will work across the organisation to embed best practices in agile delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives while enabling our teams to operate effectively and efficiently. You will have a dual focus on coaching and mentoring teams in agile methodologies and overseeing delivery management, including dependency management, planning, forecasting, and quality assurance.
Working closely with the CTO, Product Owners, Engineering Leads and other stakeholders across TGG value streams, you will support and enable delivery of initiatives across multiple value streams while driving improvements in our product development lifecycle (PDLC), delivery cadence, and cross-team collaboration, quality, predictability and focus on business and member value.
Key responsibilities:
- Champion modern agile methodologies and principles, tailoring practices to suit the organisation\’s maturity and needs.
- Coach teams and individuals, including Agile Delivery Leads/Coordinators, Product Owners, Engineering Leads and others, to improve agile delivery capabilities, ceremonies and practices with strong focus on member and business value.
- Facilitate workshops, retrospectives, and training sessions to drive continuous improvement.
- Embed a culture of experimentation, learning, and feedback across teams
- Instil a culture of continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies in delivery processes and implementing actionable solutions.
- Regularly assess and iterate on team practices, tools, and workflows to optimise productivity and quality.
- Use delivery metrics to identify improvement opportunities and measure progress over time.
- Encourage teams to reflect, learn, and adapt through regular retrospectives and feedback loops.
- Partner with stakeholders to align on goals and ensure improvement initiatives contribute to overall business objectives
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of key initiatives within your value stream, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
- Develop and maintain robust processes for dependency management, risk identification, and mitigation.
- Ensure delivery roadmaps are realistic, achievable, and aligned with organisational objectives.
- Track and report on delivery progress, escalating issues and blockers as needed
- Collaborate with Engineering Leads, Delivery Leads, Product Owners and other members of various Value streams to optimise the PDLC end to end.
- Support embedment and maturing of best practices for quality assurance and technical delivery
- Strengthen usage of OKRs across the organisation and help evolve business planning & strategy processes towards greater agility and team empowerment
- Foster collaboration between development, QA, and operations teams to improve release quality and reduce cycle times.
- Implement and optimise Agile development methodologies, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Drive automation, scalability, and efficiency in development, testing, and deployment processes.
- As a coach, Partner with Product Owners and Agile Delivery Managers to create and maintain accurate delivery plans and forecasts both short and medium term
- As a Delivery Manager, ensure capacity planning and capacity allocation align with delivery priorities.
- Introduce and maintain metrics to measure team performance, predictability, and overall delivery health.
- Collaborate with the CTO, the Technology Leadership Team and other stakeholders to develop and maintain a strategic agile practice maturity roadmap
- Build strong relationships across the organisation to promote cross-functional, cross-value stream collaboration to drive effective value delivery.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as an Agile Coach, Delivery Lead, or similar role in a fast-paced e-commerce or subscription business.
- Deep understanding of agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, LeSS) and their application in real-world contexts.
- Strong track record in managing complex, multi-team deliveries with a focus on planning, dependency management, and risk mitigation.
- Proven experience improving and optimising PDLC processes, with a focus on quality, efficiency, and collaboration in an agile context.
- Very strong facilitation skills, with the ability to lead workshops, retrospectives, and cross-team initiatives.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical audiences.
- Data-driven approach to decision-making, with experience implementing and using delivery metrics to drive improvements.
- Decent Knowledge of modern engineering practices such as DevOps, CI/CD, and test automation.
- Professional certifications in agile methodologies (e.g., CSM, Kanban, LeSS).
- Life-long learner
- Self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity
