A manufacturing industry leader is looking to recruit a Rework Technician to its skilled workforce. The role will be based on a double day shift, Monday to Friday, with some day shift requirements based on business demand (rare), or in the initial weeks of training. Rates shown are day shift rate (lower) and shift rate (higher). Some occasional overtime will be available, and is paid at enhanced rates. This position will start as an ongoing temporary role, with the potential for the successful candidate to convert onto the Company\’s permanent workforce at a future juncture. Work environment is very clean and clinical. Aerospace or automotive environment experience is advantageous. Key role responsibilities: Rework of through-hole and surface mount technology PCBs. Build of unit modules. Solder to J-Standard – 001. Inspection of PCBs and modules. Reading and understanding of drawings. Apply appropriate quality assurance techniques and accept responsibility for individual and team standards. Work well within a team. Computer literate. Carry out Total Preventative Maintenance. Good housekeeping. Manual dexterity. *Please note this list is not exhaustive. Soldering experience preferred but not necessary. From time to time the successful candidate may be required by the Company to perform other tasks which are not included in the above description, but are within the capabilities of the individual and where necessary training will be given.
