Summary
We are expanding our UK sales team and are looking for a Regional Account Manager (m/w/d) to cover the northern region of England and Scotland. In this role, you will manage key accounts, develop new business opportunities, and represent Hexagon’s high-quality metrology products. Preferred Locations are Manchester, Sheffield, Leeds, Liverpool.
Job Responsibilities
As a Regional Account Manager, you will be the key driver of sales and customer relationships in the northern region of England and Scotland, focusing primarily on Hexagon’s metrology hardware and software solutions.
You will work closely with internal teams including Applications, Development, and Service to deliver exceptional customer experiences and achieve sales targets. Main responsibilities include:
- Managing and growing a defined territory covering key cities such as Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Aberdeen
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients and identifying new business opportunities within the metrology, automotive, aerospace, and oil & gas sectors
- Conducting on-site product demonstrations and technical presentations, including handling and transporting hardware equipment weighing up to 35 kg
- Collaborating with internal teams to tailor solutions that meet customer needs and support successful project delivery
- Managing the full sales cycle from lead generation, pipeline development, negotiation, to closing deals and achieving sales targets
- Maintaining accurate CRM records and adhering to internal sales processes and reporting requirements
- Traveling regularly (approximately 2-3 days per week) to customer sites across the region to provide hands-on support and build strong client partnerships
- Participating in regular team meetings and contributing to the overall success of the UK sales team through collaboration and knowledge sharing
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Metrology, or a related technical field
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in technical or commercial sales, preferably within metrology or a related industry
- Strong metrology background is mandatory
- Proven ability to develop and manage a sales pipeline, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Excellent customer-facing skills and commercial acumen, including negotiation and closing capabilities
- Comfortable handling and demonstrating technical hardware equipment weighing up to 30-35 kg regularly
- Willingness and ability to travel up to three days per week across Northern England and Scotland, including overnight stays when necessary
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory
