- Hours: 37.5 per week
- Pay: £24,465 per annum
- Location: Cumberland Infirmary, Newtown Road, Carlisle, Cumbria, England, CA2 7HY
- Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 6-2 & 2-10 pm with occasional weekend work
Role Responsibilities
- Collect, move, sort, process, and dispatch waste and materials across the airport.
- Load/unload hazardous and non-hazardous waste safely and efficiently.
- Respond to adhoc client requests and maintain cleanliness through regular litter picks.
- Complete daily equipment check sheets and report unsafe conditions or incidents.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental policies, and waste legislation.
What We’re Looking For
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks safely.
- Valid UK driving licence and willingness to work outdoors in all weather.
- Manual handling training and strong literacy/numeracy skills.
- Excellent timekeeping, attendance, and a diligent, safety-first mindset.
- Desirable: experience in the waste industry and use of balers/compactors.
