We’re seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to join the Multiply team as a Project Management Apprentice. In this role, you will work closely with experienced project managers to learn and apply essential project management principles. This apprenticeship offers an opportunity to develop project management skills and knowledge while gaining practical experience within a dynamic work environment.
The role
The Project Manager Apprentice role is an excellent opportunity to begin your career in Project Management. In this role you will work closely with experienced project managers and directors to gain valuable first-hand experience with established in-progress projects.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Shadow experienced project managers and directors to gain valuable first-hand experience with established in-progress projects.
- Contribute to the production of project deliverables, e.g., Project Plan, Communications Plan, Risk Log, and Project Board Papers.
- Take responsibility for administering project board meetings, producing reports and engaging with stakeholders.
- Lead in the estimation, planning and delivery of a small project, identifying resource required, key activities, dependencies and project milestones.
- Participate in stakeholder engagement activities, e.g., identification, communication, workshops, meetings, consultation, and stakeholder management planning.
About the apprenticeship
You will enrol into the Associate Project Manager Level 4 Apprenticeship Programme, which would be expected to last for c16-18 months. Your training will be a great mix of face-to-face tuition, online learning and self-study.
In completing this apprenticeship, you will achieve an Associate Project Manager (Level 4) qualification, ensuring that you are developing the experience, knowledge, skills, and behaviours needed to be a successful project manager. You will dedicate 20% of your working time to learning and be supported through internal coaching throughout.
The Person
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to tailor communication to different audiences.
- Good IT skills (preferably using Microsoft Office programmes).
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage own workload to meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work accurately with detailed information and to ensure that practical tasks are effectively implemented
- Previous work experience in an administrative environment and/or in a project environment would be highly beneficial.
