We currently have a vacancy for a Security Officer based in Ambleside. Having the ability to work independently and well under pressure, a flexible attitude to shift work is highly valued.
Applicants must hold a valid UK driving licence due to the location of the site and the need to occasionally use an onsite vehicle.
Job Description
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Providing security presence on-site
- Deterring criminal activity, theft, and anti-social behaviour
- Providing protection for customers, property, and staff
- Internal and external site patrols
- Responding to emergencies such as fire alarm activations
- Supporting student activities and campus support tasks
- Concierge duties
Applicants must be:
- First Aid trained
- Smart and presentable
- Polite and approachable
- Professional and able to make decisions independently
- Vigilant and attentive to unusual activity
- Punctual and reliable
- Flexible with work shifts
- Able to provide a 5-year checkable history for BS7858 vetting
