We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Privacy Specialist/Professional with a strong foundation in both law and data science. This role is ideal for a data-oriented professional with experience in managing and securing data in compliance with privacy regulations. The successful candidate will have the ability to bridge the gap between complex legal requirements and technical data management processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the organization’s data privacy strategies, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to implement data protection policies and practices.
- Conduct data privacy risk assessments and ensure effective controls are in place.
- Monitor and manage data privacy practices across different departments, identifying areas for improvement.
- Provide guidance and expertise on data management and privacy-related technical issues.
- Support the development and maintenance of data privacy documentation and training materials.
- Work with cross-functional teams (e.g., legal, IT, security) to ensure data privacy is a core consideration in all business operations.

Qualifications:
- A degree in Law or Data Science, with a strong understanding of both legal frameworks and data science principles.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data management, data protection, or privacy-related roles.
- Deep understanding of data privacy laws, including GDPR, CCPA, and other international regulations.
- Proven ability to analyze and interpret complex legal and data science concepts.
- Certifications such as CIPP, CIPT, or ISEB (or equivalent) are highly desirable.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams to deliver privacy and data protection solutions.
