About the role:

At InPost, we are looking for two exceptional Warehouse Sortation Supervisors to join our team and help drive operational excellence in our parcel sortation operations. As a key member of the team, you will oversee daily warehouse operations, optimize mechanical sortation processes, and lead a talented team towards achieving outstanding results.

Location: Stakehill Industrial Estate, 69 Whitbrook Way, Middleton, Manchester M24 2SJ

Shift Pattern: 4on/4off

Hours: 13:00 – 23:00

Salary: £29,000 p/a

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading Operational Excellence: Oversee and optimize daily warehouse operations, ensuring seamless execution across all activities and departments.
• Driving High Performance: Develop strategies to improve performance, reduce costs, and maximize efficiency. Monitor KPIs for continuous improvement.
• Mastering Warehouse Flow: Collaborate with the Operations Manager to ensure accurate sorting, processing, and dispatching of parcels.
• Empowering Your Team: Lead, train, and motivate the warehouse team. Foster a positive work environment.
• Collaborating Across Teams: Work with other departments to ensure effective communication and smooth operations.
• Ensuring Consistency: Enforce adherence to SOPs to maintain operational standards and quality.
• Prioritizing Safety: Focus on health and safety, ensuring compliance and creating a safe working environment.
• Managing the OLA Shift: Oversee all aspects of the shift to ensure productivity.
• Managing Driver Briefings: Oversee driver pre- and de-briefings for clear communication.
• Maintaining a Top-Tier Warehouse Environment: Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Upholding Company Standards: Enforce policies and procedures to maintain standards and integrity.
• Weekend Engagement: Participate in weekend conference calls to stay aligned with operational developments.

What we need from you:

• Proven Leadership: Supervisory experience in parcel sortation or logistics warehouse, familiar with automated systems.
• Operational Expertise: Strong in warehouse flow management and process optimization.
• Inspirational Leadership: Ability to motivate and lead diverse teams.
• Strong Communicator: Effective in cross-team communication.
• Tech-Savvy: Proficient in warehouse management systems and relevant technology.
