Our client is a global leader in manufacturing advanced products and systems for the automotive industry. We are looking for a Project Manager to drive the successful introduction of new products, support productivity improvements and strengthen relationships with customers.
The Role
As NPI Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing projects from concept through to production, ensuring they are delivered on time, to budget and customer expectations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, commercial, finance and manufacturing to drive success in all projects.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the stage-gated NPI process, ensuring all project milestones are met
- Manage project timelines, budgets and resources to ensure successful delivery
- Act as the key point of contact for customers, ensuring excellent communication and relationship management
- Work collaboratively with engineering teams to develop product specifications and market requirements
- Identify risks and roadblocks, work closely with Head of Project Management to implement effective mitigation strategies
- Support new business opportunities in collaboration with the commercial team
- Ensure compliance with internal and external project documentation and processes
- Travel within the UK and occasionally abroad to meet with customers
Qualifications/Experience
- 5+ years of experience in project management within a manufacturing environment, automotive preferred
- Engineering degree or equivalent qualification preferred
- Strong knowledge and experience of a stage-gated NPI process
- Proven track record of successful project delivery
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical and communication skills
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to manage multiple projects
- Full UK driving licence and valid passport
- Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally to visit customers
