We’re looking for a Sales Support Administrator – Logistics (D365 12m FTC) to join our team in, Kings Hill, UK.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics – Import/Export Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth movement of goods through the supply chain by coordinating shipping activities, managing import/export documentation, liaising with regulatory bodies, and supporting internal teams with logistics and sales-related processes.
Responsibilities include:
- Keep cargo moving by monitoring container and vessel schedules, updating systems with real-time port arrival data.
- Ensure smooth cross-border trade by reviewing import/export documentation for full UK and EU compliance.
- Coordinate with customs agents, DEFRA, and other regulatory bodies to clear imports efficiently.
- Stay ahead of the curve with expert knowledge of UK and EU documentation and trade regulations.
- Work directly with shipping lines to manage claims and keep all logistics stakeholders updated.
- Support seamless financial operations by processing invoices and aiding supplier payments.
- Assist in the creation of Purchase Orders to streamline procurement and supply chain processes.
- Act as the key link between our team and suppliers, resolving documentation discrepancies swiftly.
- Provide vital administrative and sales support across the department to keep operations running smoothly.
- Be part of a collaborative, fast-paced team where attention to detail and communication are key.
Experience we look for:
Essential
- Proven experience in logistics, supply chain, or import/export operations.
- Solid understanding of UK and EU import/export regulations and documentation.
- Experience dealing with customs authorities and regulatory agencies is highly desirable.
- Working knowledge of Claims handling with shipping lines.
- Intermediate Level of Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with shipping line communications and handling claims is a plus.
Desirable
- Background in International trade, Supply Chain management, or a related field.
- Experience working with DEFRA and customs clearance procedures.
- Working experience of Prophet ERP system.
- Microsoft D365 would be advantageous.
