Overview
Associate Commercial Coordinator (12 Months Fixed Term) at Oceaneering. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the role supports the development of high quality, customer focused technical and commercial proposals that align with the company strategy. The role acts as a key liaison between internal stakeholders to support the Commercial Coordinators, Proposal Engineers, and Sales in producing robust, accurate tender submissions, considering technical definition, schedule, cost, and risk, as well as operational resources, manufacturing capacity and project loading.
Governance is provided by the Commercial Manager, Proposals Engineering Manager, and the Rosyth Senior Management Team, as required. We welcome applications from graduates, placement year students, or those who can work part time during their penultimate or final year of study.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Promote and maintain a culture of openness, honesty, commitment, and continuous improvement.
- Actively support the companyâs policies, demonstrating compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality, Anti-Bribery and Corruption, and Information security in all endeavours.
- Support Oceaneeringâs mission, vision, and values with a focus on âdo things rightâ, âsolving complex problemsâ and âoutperforming expectationsâ.
- Support the delivery of the Company Commercial Strategy; bid for projects in line with current and best practice in SDS-R operational teams.
- Develop high quality, technically compliant, price and schedule competitive submissions for core projects. Engage with Finance to update actual spend, build customer/supplier payments, and reflect over/under budgets into Estimate Templates/calc sheets.
- Support Tendering and Proposal Engineering Manager(s) with workload capacity and liaise with Sales to determine prioritisation and positioning of the workload.
- Manage Bids & Proposals SharePoint sites, document management, and the âOutstanding Bids Matrixâ.
- Monitor and review client ITT documents, bulletins, clarifications; distribute to relevant disciplines internally.
- Provide support to the Bids and Proposals team by expediting key information from internal support functions, suppliers and clients.
- Complete pre-bid questionnaires and qualifications.
- Develop commercial executive review packages in line with the agreed sandbox position.
- Support the departmentâs Risks and Opportunities database at opportunity and enterprise levels.
- Maintain Quality Management System and supporting Tendering Team process documentation; ensure process maps and team procedures reflect current practice and update as required.
- Seek and address stakeholder feedback to monitor role and the Tendering teamâs processes and practices.
- Support internal, customer and supplier meetings including site entry and room bookings; attend and take minutes for wider distribution where appropriate.
- Support organisational learning and development, demonstrating improved and consistent component, project and product level learning.
- Deliver knowledge sharing training sessions at Team and Business Level.
- Demonstrate application of continuous professional development.

Other
- Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.
- Perform assigned tasks with due regard to Integrated Management Systems.

- Directly reports to SDS Rosyth Commercial Manager.
