Buckinghamshire (Aylesbury) | Locum | £38–£40 per hour | Hybrid Working Buckinghamshire Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Children in Care Team based in Aylesbury. You will work with looked after children, ensuring high-quality care planning, permanency planning, and positive outcomes for children and young people in care. In this role, you will: Manage a caseload of looked after children and care leavers Complete statutory visits, reviews, and care planning Undertake direct work with children and young people Contribute to permanency planning, including long-term fostering, adoption, and special guardianship Prepare high-quality reports for reviews, panels, and court Work closely with carers, families, and multi-agency partners to support stability and positive outcomes What You’ll Need: Social Work England Registration Social Work Qualification At least 3 years’ experience working with Children in Care or Looked After Children Experience in care planning, reviews, and permanency work Strong assessment, communication, and report-writing skills Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-agency environment Why Sheldon Phillips?
