T Level Mechanical Engineering Teacher

Are you ready to inspire the next generation of engineers? We\’re seeking a dedicated T Level Mechanical Engineering Teacher to deliver engaging, industry-relevant teaching to learners aged 16-19. This role involves delivering the core and occupational specialisms of the T Level qualification, with a strong emphasis on practical application, theory, and employer-led projects. You\’ll bring real-world mechanical engineering experience, strong subject knowledge, and a recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTLS, CertEd). We have an exciting opportunity at our Openshaw Campus to join our Automotive, Construction, Engineering and Logistics Department as a T Level Mechanical Engineering Teacher on a permanent, full-time (35 hours per week) basis. At The Manchester College, you will be supported by our Teaching Academy to work towards qualified teacher status for post 16 compulsory education, through a Cert Ed/PGCE. This includes 3-4 hours delivery per week and engagement with a mentor to support your progress in the profession while you work. The starting salary for an unqualified teacher is between £28,300.00 – £30,307.50*. It\’s a great way to kick-start a rewarding career with full training and support. Once you\’ve successfully qualified and demonstrated your teaching competence, you\’ll progress to the qualified teacher salary banding. *Consideration will be given to relevant industry experience and skills with the flexibility to offer increased starting salaries in some circumstances*.
