CSG Talent are proudly working with a consultancy in the UK who are revolutionising the geology & mining exploration industries with a series of flagship solutions, with a goal of making the industry more sustainable & efficient. We are currently looking for a Geoscience Lead to join the team in London, UK, who will be responsible for geological data management & product collaboration.
Please note, this role will initially be a 6 month contract with a daily rate, with a view to become a permanent position.
The key responsibilities for this Geoscience Lead role include, but are not limited to:
- Geological Data Management: Collecting, analysing, and interpreting geological and geospatial data from satellite imagery, surveys, and field studies.
- Exploration Strategy Development: Identifying promising mineral deposits and optimising exploration techniques using advanced data science and geostatistical models.
- Product Collaboration: Working closely with cross-functional teams to translate geological insights into innovative product features.
- Visualisation & Reporting: Creating compelling geological models, maps, and reports to communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Field Collaboration: Partnering with on-the-ground teams to validate exploration models and ensure alignment with local geology.
Essential requirements are:
- Bachelor\’s degree in geology, earth sciences or similar field.
- 6+ years experience in as an exploration geologist, with a focus on greenfield projects.
- Proficiency in geological modelling, data science and mineral resource estimation.
- Based in London, UK.
- Experience working in African mining contexts considered an advantage.
