Kinetic Recruitment are on the lookout for a hands‑on, can‑do Workshop Assistant to join a friendly team in Westhoughton. If you\’re someone who doesn\’t mind rolling up your sleeves one minute and answering the phone the next, this could be just the role for you! This is a successful, family‑run business where people genuinely enjoy what they do. The team is very relaxed and informal. If you like a friendly, down‑to‑earth atmosphere, you\’ll fit right in! Also, it would best suit someone who likes clear direction and knows how to get on with the job. Hours of Work :
- Monday to Thursday : 8am – 5pm
- Friday : 8am – 3:45pm * 45-minute lunch break
- Temporary to Permanent position Pay Rate :
- £12.21 per hour Some of the tasks are listed below, however, this is a very varied position so we can\’t list them all!
- Inputting data into a computerised system
- Booking equipment and deliveries
- Setting up and allocating customer orders
- Keeping the workshop clean and clutter free
- Packing, unpacking, and prepping equipment
- Supporting the workshop team
- Handling paperwork and administration tasks
- Answering phones and preparing quotes
- Processing invoices * Answering and making calls
- As the role of General Assistant / Workshop assistant is varied, we need someone who :
- As previous workshop experience would be great e.g (tyre bay, garage, metal or timber yard)
- Someone who\’s comfortable juggling admin, customer service and hands‑on tasks
- Great communication skills and able to speak to people at all levels
- A keen eye for detail and solid computer skills * Someone who has experience with invoices and preparing quotes
