Job Description

Our project portfolio is unparalleled. Beyond the groundbreaking RB17 Hypercar and the Red Bull-commissioned submarine, we actively partner with the KTM Moto GP Team and much more.
Red Bull Advanced Technologies are constantly elevating performance to new heights, and the recently announced RB17 two-seat Hypercar is set to be the ultimate on-track driving experience pushing design and technical boundaries far beyond what has previously been imagined.
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Electronic Support Group Lead to join our Red Bull Advanced Engineering team. The successful candidate will oversee the Electrical Technicians and Electrical Support Engineers, ensuring the effective installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical and electronic systems.
Key Responsibilities of the Electronics Support Group Lead
- Recruit, lead, and manage the Electrical Technicians and Electrical Support Engineers, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
- Coordinate personnel and equipment logistical requirements for all stages of build and support in line with programme group and other stakeholders.
- Technically review and establish support requirements for all rig and vehicle test activities. Working with other engineering business functions to build and maintain test plans and electrical measurement capabilities to delivery test data.
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical and electronic systems.
- Ensure the specification and installation of on and off car harnesses, assemblies, and their associated components are completed to meet business requirements.
- Lead rig and track testing efforts, ensuring all systems are functioning correctly and providing necessary support.
- Oversee the commissioning, calibration and testing of electrical components and systems.
- Lead anomaly detection efforts using data analysis tools and techniques.
- Investigate and resolve complex electrical and electronic system faults.
- Lead and manage creation and use-of procedures to maintain high-quality rig and operational data.
- Oversee that software revision/version control is achieved to ensure rigs and products are built and operated to correct code release.
- Work closely with the software and controls group to ensure seamless integration and operation of electrical systems.
- Collaborate with supply partners for data transfer and setup requirements.
This role requires strong leadership skills, a proactive approach to data analysis and fault diagnosis, and close collaboration with various teams to enhance system performance and reliability. Key responsibilities include managing sensor calibration, ensuring systems are built to specification, monitoring telemetry data, and leading continuous improvement initiatives.
This position will be factory based and incorporate travel, working from a variety of race tracks worldwide.
