JIRA Project Manager 3 Month Contract £450 – £550 Day Rate ( DOE) Location: Flexible Remote / Hybrid ( South East located offices) Our client is adopting the use of JIRA as a PM tool and require a Project Manager who is an SME with the Jira platform to lead and deliver a key project that has a strong focus on the implementation and management of Jira as the central project management tool. As a newly implemented tool within the business the Project Manager will play a pivotal role in guiding and supporting a broad range of stakeholders through it adoption and utilisation – offering ‘hands-on’ assistance, training and best practice use to facilitate the smooth onboarding and ongoing engagement with Jira across the business. What You’ll Do As Project Manager, you will collaborate across multiple internal teams, working closely under the guidance of our Head of Transformation to ensure the project goals are clearly defined and successfully delivered. You will be responsible for ensuring that all project activities are efficiently planned, tracked, and executed within Jira, maintaining visibility and alignment throughout the project lifecycle. Jira Management * Set up and configure Jira boards, workflows, custom fields, and dashboards to align with project needs. * Manage sprint planning, backlog grooming, and user story creation. * Monitor progress using Jira reports (burn-down charts, velocity, etc.). Project Coordination * Collaborate with stakeholders including 3rd parties, developers, marketing, training and operations. * Define project timelines, deliverables, milestones, and KPIs. * Ensure task assignment and resource allocation are optimized for performance. Risk & Issue Management * Identify project risks early and manage mitigation plans. * Track and report on issues through Jira and escalate as needed. Communication * Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. * Provide weekly status reports and updates to stakeholders. Compliance & Documentation * Ensure that all documentation (e.g., policies, data flows, approvals) is stored and traceable in Jira or linked tools. * Ensure alignment with industry-specific regulations (e.g. FCA, GDPR and international regulations where relevant). What Experience & Abilities We’re Looking For * Detailed & demonstrable experience leading and managing Jira based projects * Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies * Exemplary stakeholder management, presentation and influencing abilities to ExCo / Board level * A proactive mindset with a proven track record in managing diverse projects to successful outcomes * Independent , with the ability to prioritise workstreams and coordinate diverse resources (internal / external) * Comfortable juggling priorities in a fast-moving environment, with attention to detail and a big-picture view. This position is being offered as an opening 3-month contract with a day rate range of £450 – £550 depending on experience. Whilst a predominantly ‘remote’ based position, there will be a requirement to spend a small number of working days per month at offices located in the South East / London.
