Are you an experienced Transport Planner looking to step into a high-impact role within a fast-paced logistics operation? We’re looking for a proactive, hands-on professional to join our team and take responsibility for planning and coordinating a large, mixed fleet while ensuring full compliance and efficiency across daily operations. About the Role: Reporting to the Transport Planning Manager, this is a key position focused on performance, cost control, and legal compliance. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day planning of up to 80 tractor units and 140 refrigerated and bulker trailers. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you\’ll ensure smooth operations across inbound and outbound transport. Key Responsibilities: * Daily planning and routing of a mixed fleet (80 tractor units / 140 trailers) * Minimise empty running and optimise fleet efficiency * Schedule labour and vehicle resources effectively * Liaise daily with internal stakeholders to coordinate inbound and outbound movements * Maintain strong working relationships with third-party partners and customers * Keep transport planning systems updated in real time * Ensure all admin and compliance documentation is completed accurately and on time * Conduct driver briefings and debriefings * Perform random checks on vehicles and drivers to maintain standards * Coordinate with breakdown services and manage incident reporting * Schedule vehicle maintenance and ensure compliance with Driver Hours and WTD legislation What We\’re Looking For: * Proven experience in a transport planning or logistics coordination role * Strong knowledge of EU Drivers’ Hours, WTD, and current transport legislation * Excellent organisational and time-management skills * Confident communicator with strong leadership abilities * Ability to multitask and prioritise in a high-pressure environment * IT-literate and experienced in using transport planning software Working Hours: * Tuesday to Saturday * Tuesday to Friday: 12:00 – 21:00 * Saturday: 10:00 – 19:00 Why Join Us?
