Join our team of volunteers at Dublin Road Oxfam charity shop and gain some new experience! We\’re looking for people to help on the shop floor or in the stock room- Any day, any hours
We welcome volunteers from all walks of life, our customers and volunteers are from all over the world, and our shop is a great place to meet new people and learn about other cultures.
Whether you are looking to gain new skills or make use of the skills you have already, there are plenty of different areas you can assert yourself: on the shop floor merchandising and serving customers or in the stockroom organising and processing
We get donations of household furniture; kitchenware; ornaments; old, new and collectable books, CDs, DVDs, VHS, Records; paintings, electricals, toys and much more that we need help sorting and processing
If you\’d like to give up some of your time to help us out give us a shout- hours and days are totally flexible between Mondays-Saturdays 10am-5pm
Tasks and responsibilities can include
- Maintaining shop standards
- Replenishment and rotation of stock
- Pricing, labelling and processing of stock
- Receiving donations
- Greeting and interacting with customers
- Dealing with customer enquiries
- Till duties and cash handling
- Promote shop initiatives
- Data capture for Gift Aid
